Guardian Home Qualifications
At Platinum Goldens, our Guardian Home Program allows us to continue raising exceptional, health-tested Golden Retrievers while ensuring each dog enjoys a loving, family-centered life.
A Guardian Home is a carefully selected family that partners with us by providing a forever home for one of our top-quality breeding dogs. The dog lives with you as your family companion, while Platinum Goldens retains full breeding rights for a limited number of litters. All breeding-related costs (health testing, reproductive care, etc.) are covered by us. After the breeding career is complete, full ownership transfers to you — at no cost.
Who We’re Looking For
Being a Guardian Home is not a “trial experience” or a way to test if you’re ready for a puppy.
This is a long-term partnership built on trust, responsibility, and shared goals — to preserve the health, temperament, and beauty of the Golden Retriever breed.
Guardian Homes are expected to:

Provide daily love, structure, and socialization

Maintain high standards of care, nutrition, and training

Communicate openly with us about the dog’s well-being

Be available for scheduled health testing, breeding, and whelping when applicable
