Puppy Purchase Contract/Agreement

By setting clear standards for health, safety, and lifelong support, we can confidently place our puppies in forever homes that are truly committed to their happiness and wellbeing.

Collectively, the parties agree as follows...

 

This puppy is guaranteed for 72 hours against any abnormal health irregularities. It is the Buyer's responsibility to have the puppy examined by a trusted veterinarian during this time frame.  A full refund will be given for any puppy that is found to be unhealthy during the first 72 hours, provided that the puppy is returned in the same condition that he or she was at the time of sale, along with all paperwork and a letter from your veterinarian stating why the puppy is found to be unhealthy. No other guarantees are given or implied.

During the life of this dog if for any reason the Buyer can no longer keep it the Breeder has first right of refusal. The Buyer understands and agrees to NEVER resell, re-home or relinquish their Platinum Golden Retriever to an animal shelter, organization or any other individual.

The Buyer is responsible for providing appropriate veterinary care, vaccinations, flea & tick prevention, and a nutritious diet.

The Buyer must maintain the puppy in a safe, clean environment with proper socialization and training. 
The Buyer agrees to avoid strenuous activity until growth plates close (approx. 18-24 months). During the life of this dog, the Buyer is responsible for all grooming needs. This includes regular ear cleanings, brushing, nail trims and regularly scheduled professional grooming services. Your Platinum Golden Retriever is expected to obtain a well groomed appearance. (i.e. trimmed ears and paws.)

 

The Buyer agrees to: 

•    Participate in obedience training

•    Provide adequate socialization

•    Ensure the puppy is not left alone for excessive periods

We do not sell our dogs for breeding purposes. Pets are to be spayed/neutered between 18 - 24 months of age. It is understood that at the time of sale, this puppy is not for show or breeding; but is a representative of its breed, structurally and temperamentally suited as a companion and /or obedience dog.

 

The Breeder does not guarantee:

•    Adult size

•    Weight

•    Coat color

•    Specific temperament traits

The Breeder does guarantee the puppy is healthy, well-bred, and thoughtfully matched to the Buyer.

 

The Breeder retains the right to:

•    Refuse sale to any Buyer

•    Cancel this contract prior to pick-up and refund the deposit if the Breeder deems it in the puppy's best interest

•    Require the puppy's return if evidence of neglect, abuse, or poor living conditions arise

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes shall be settled by mediation or arbitration in Bristol County, Massachusetts unless both parties agree otherwise. In the event that the Buyer proceeds to breed or show their Platinum Golden Retriever (accidentally or purposefully) or does not provide proof of sterilization within 24 months of acquiring said Platinum Golden Retriever, the Buyer will be subjected to a $30,000 fine for violating the terms of this Agreement/Contract. All funds collected will be donated to the Lakeville Animal Shelter to support their Spay & Neuter program. The Buyer is responsible for ALL legal fees related to the Breach of Contract.

 

The Breeder MUST receive a letter from the Buyer's veterinarian when the dog is spayed/neutered.
